My daughter and her pony were struggling a bit to hit their stride together. She was stepping up off lesson horses, and he is a tricky, sensitive ride. We had a few incidents, and while they weren’t dangerous situations, necessarily, they really scared her. I thought I was going to have to find her a different pony, even though I knew they both had it in them to get it together. Luckily, I had Laura come out for some lessons, and in just two sessions, they had made a total 180 degree transformation, and they have continued to improve from there! We went from barely making it around the ring at the trot, to earning a first, second, and third together at their first show together!!! My kiddo went from lacking confidence and never wanting to ride, to begging me to ride and riding her pony bareback all over the farm.
